TROPICAL GROUNDS

Backpackers Inn is a ‘surf shack’ style hostel, set on 1-acre of lush, landscaped lawns. Our spacious grounds feature:

A small, sandy track at the back of the hostel leads you through the dunes and directly to the surf, beaches and iconic view of Byron Bay’s stunning hinterland (max. walking time 1-minute!)

LAUNDRY

For those dirty clothes buried at the bottom of your backpack in need of a good soaking, our commercial grade washing machines and dryers are able to handle the toughest of travel clothes in big loads! Washing powder also available at Reception.

KITCHEN

Upstairs in the Common Area you’ll find a fully-equipped and clean industrial kitchen, where all of your cooking and eating needs are catered for!

COURTYARD

The popular Courtyard area is set under a massive fig tree next to the swimming pool and is a social place with a great vibe, where people hang out during the day and enjoy the entertainment at night.  It includes a BBQ, alfresco dining tables, balconies with views and lantern lights to enhance that coastal Byron feel when the sun goes down!

Indoors, our chilled Common Area provides a hub of traveller facilities to make your stay at BPI an easy one:

On-site parking is free and unlimited for houseguests of Backpackers Inn for the length of their stay.  Regular security patrols mean your car, campervan or motorbike stays safe and secure.  See reception first for your parking permit, and you’re sorted!
